Platform-specific handover instructions
The procedure for performing a transaction with the escrow service:
On YouTube, what changes hands is the Brand Account the channel sits on.
The buyer pays the full amount — the price plus the service fee — into escrow, and we confirm the money has cleared before anyone is asked to hand anything over.
The seller adds the buyer’s Google account as a manager of the channel’s Brand Account, and removes every other manager except themselves.
The buyer signs in and checks the things a screenshot cannot prove: subscriber and watch-time figures in YouTube Studio, the monetization status, and that there is no active strike or copyright claim on the account.
The seller transfers primary ownership of the Brand Account to the buyer and leaves it. Google holds an ownership transfer for several days before it becomes permanent, which is the main reason our transfer window is 7 days and not 24 hours.
The buyer confirms in the deal thread that they have full and permanent access. That confirmation is what releases the money to the seller; until it happens, we are still holding it.
